Rules for proper sauna use

Barrel and sauna regulations

HOT BARREL
We would like to invite our guests to take a bath in a hot barrel, also known as a garden tub.
In appearance it is a large barrel, inside of which there are benches where you can relax on cool evenings. The barrel is filled with water, which is heated by a wood-fired cooker to a temperature of around 38-40 degrees Celsius.
A bath in the tub can be taken at any time of the year. It warms up the body perfectly, calms and relaxes, has a beneficial effect on the heart and circulatory system, has a healing effect on diseases of the locomotor system, spinal problems or neuralgia of various origins. The use of the tub also has a relaxing effect, and is ideal for relieving nerves after a hard day. By taking a bath in winter, you can improve the work of your immune system. Simply alternate between using the tub and then coming out of it and rubbing yourself with snow or using a chill barrel with cold water. Repeating this several times will stimulate the immune system to work hard and rid the body of harmful toxins. This is an ideal way to toughen up the body and reduce illnesses that occur during the winter season. Pregnant women and people with high blood pressure, clotting disorders and heart disease should avoid bathing in a hot tub. Bathing in a garden hot tub becomes the focal point of gatherings with friends or family reunions. Spending time with loved ones in such a relaxing way brings with it an unusual and unique experience. In the winter in the hot barrel, you should wear a hat on your head, in order to maximise the retention of body heat and to protect your head from getting cold.
The use of the barrel is chargeable: the price for three hours is 100 PLN, for each subsequent hour (consecutive, without water change) it is 20 PLN.
A shower is recommended before entering the banya so that the water remains clean for a longer period of time. It is forbidden to use the banya without the owner’s consent or to pour foaming agents and oils into the banya.
SAUNA
Also called a dry sauna, it is a room made of wood, inside of which special conditions are created :
temperature in the sauna is between 80 and 100⁰C
humidity level of 5-15%.
Maintaining the high temperature in the sauna is possible thanks to a special cooker, which heats the stones.
You can stay in the dry sauna for a maximum of 15 minutes, after which time you should cool down in the snow or in a cooling barrel with cold water. It is safe to take such relaxation twice a week.
The advantages of the Finnish sauna are great, as it has a wide range of effects on the human body:
cleanses the body of toxins
relaxes and relieves tension resulting from stress

It is best to use the sauna in the afternoon. Take a shower beforehand. Remember that you should not enter the sauna after drinking alcohol or having eaten a heavy meal. Do not apply any creams, lotions or oils to your skin during the sauna session.

It is forbidden to use the sauna without the owner’s consent.
